Shoreline Minerals Ltd (“Shoreline”) is an Australian unlisted public company with its head office in Sydney .
Shoreline’s original objective in early 2008 was to find mineral (iron) sands projects with low CAPEX & OPEX that had the potential for fast-track development. With substantial increases in the price of iron ore in recent years and developments in smelting technology over the past 10 years, the economics of iron sand projects (lower grade) improved significantly when compared to traditional sedimentary iron ore deposits. However, investment funds to support development of iron sand projects became difficult to find, particularly in the post 2008 GFC environment and this lead to the Company losing its Aguas Claras iron sand project in Chile.
On 14 April 2011 the Company made a strategic decision to focus its attention of gold exploration in Colombia.
